Client:
Andale High School
Phase 2 - Fine Arts Addition
Renwick Unified School District 267

Project:
Master planning for the district began in 2007 and culminated in a successful bond issue in 2008. The patrons of the Renwick School District passed a 14 million dollar bond issue to construct a competition gym in Garden Plain, significant additions to both St. Marks and Colwich Elementary Schools and a Fine Arts Addition to Andale High School.

Included in the Fine Arts Addition was a vocal music room, instrumental music, drama/stagecraft room, public toilets, stage and 650 seat auditorium. The band room was designed as a FEMA version 2 storm shelter. Practice rooms, music storage, uniform storage and teaching offices support each of the classroom functions.

The sightlines and acoustics of the auditorium are incredible. The finishes of the space are simple, and yet they yield a beautiful composition that rivals auditoriums that had twice the budget. The stage has spacious wings, (12) line sets, and a true loading dock for the safety of the students.

Project Size:
70,789 s.f. First Floor
